Anybody know anything about repairing a broken RAID 0 stripe set? i.e. disks are good and full but controller with striping algorithm is dead. Need a way to get the new RAID controller to rebuild the stripe set with the old algorithm so the data can be retrieved. Any knowledge/advice?
You can't repair a RAID 0 stripe, because there is no parity on any of the disks. If you were running RAID 0+1, then you probably could, but not from straight RAID 0.
Sorry.
I've never tried this utility but it has helped many repair ruined RAID 0 stripes after flashing their RAID BIOS with a newer version.
I have no instructions or experience with it but grabbed it "just in case".

You know what Jon? You are just the man, plain and simple. I'll try this and let you know how I fare. Good or bad, you're still awesome! Later...
