Not trying to start a war here or anything...
But with my next build Im considering ATi as an option. Ive had 9200s and so in the past and the drivers were okay. But then I got a FX5200 and Ive loved nvidias drivers ever since. They are nice and stable, dont glitch or anything. (knock on wood)...Which is why I have stuck to thier cards like my 6800nu in my sig.
Im debating 7900gs (with eventual SLI) and x1900xt (with C/F eventualy)..
But the deciding factor here isnt really the performace....But the drivers.
To this day I still use coolbits and NV flash. Im not to wise on the ATi side of thing beside the cat drivers and such...
Also to note, I have an LCD projector (1024x768 native)that I use ALOT, so being able to adjust the contrast, brightness, and gamma of windows and video overlays is a must. The NV drivers handle this perfectly. The reason Im considering ATi also is because of the visual clarity I know my older ATi cards had, from the reviews Ive read, ATi still lives up to this in most cases.
Thanks, Laterz...
Heh, right now...my name to the left is about the size of my hand!
