Can someone please rate the nVidia SLI chipsets from worst to best for Core2Duo processors? According to Newegg, the choices are
# NVIDIA nForce4 SLI
# NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16
# NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI

I'm planning to just get a e6600 and put in my 7900gt's in SLI and hopefully it'll be a flying system compared with my current rig. Thanks for any help!

none of those will do more than 350fsb, AFAIK.

best chipset for SLI is 975 with modded drivers. unfortunately that's as good as it gets until NV decides they want to support intel chipsets.

It's so weird that this hasn't happened yet. I figured that the AMD > ATI thing would have made this a for sure thing. (SLI on C2D I mean)

The current modded drivers work with your GFX's.

So I would suggest getting one of the best 975X boards out there.

The Abit max or fatality or the Asus 64-WS Pro.
