I was wondering. When someone says they receive 70 fps in Q3A, what is the assumed resolution that they are running? Is the quality set to highest or lowest? Is there high/low quality sound or none at all? What level are they playing on to determine their fps? These are all factors and I just wanted to know what people usually put them on to determine their fps on Q3A. Thanx :D

Most people like to impress others :) so I assume its a 640x480 set at "Normal" settings.

if you read some Q3 benches, and they don't mention what res and image quality it was set at, they are probably using the lowest possible settings. Pretty cheap.

A good Q3 bench will be a clean install, and use the built-in Normal/highquality/max graphic settings from in the "system" menu. As well as put the res at 1024x768.

otherwise, the default bench mode seems to be 1024x768, sound on, all graphics sliders turned all the way up, bilinear filtering, 32-bit both modes. They also bench against the built-in Q3 demos in 'timedemo 1' mode.
