View Full Version : Accuracy of mobo temps
I recently got a 8KHA+ and a Millenium Glaciator II on a Athlon XP 1900+. The highest my CPU temp gets is about 44 C running Toast. Does anyone have an opinion on the accuracy of the built-in sensor?

It really depends...
My 8KHA seems to be pretty accurate. But, if you have doubts, get an external temp probe..

Well I'm not using the 8kha+ but I do have a epox board. I just installed a CompuNurse temp probe with a few modifications to make it more accurate then I taped it to the ceramic so it would remain in contact with the core nicely.
With my board the CompuNurse shows temps 10C higher then my MBM temps are showing (idle and Folding@Home so far...). I'll check the bios temps later but I doubt the bios will be as far off as the MBM's calculation of my temps , we'll see.

Im starting to wonder about my compu nurse temps. According to them the C/W of my Glaciator II is only .29. The mobo temp is showing almost the same temp that radiate telles me. I dont know.
