Last I heard (not from any official channels) is that it just plain wasn't... which suggests to me that it's just plain not, or it will be like the GTA series - console for a long time and then PC much later.

Lets see it will be on from last I heard
PSP, PS3 (or its PS2) X360, Wii...
PC wasn't added and they said it would be a console launch. So you know 1+ years from now it might make it to the PC. Which im confused to why they dropped the PC all togeather, maybe not as much of a market as on the consoles.

Ahhhh you guys seem to be a bit mixed up, I read from multiple sources that the pc is getting its own seperate version of COD that will be set in modern day era (like BF2). Im not too sure about the release date though but it should be alot better than the COD3 that the console's are getting.

The whole gaming industry has grown larger over the last few years, primary due the game consoles. However, the PC gaming industry has actually shrunk. If you go to gamestop or electronics boutique, they just have a small shelf dedicated to PC games. It used to be that their whole store was primary PC games. My guess is probably easier to pirate PC games than console games, and that probably affected the sales of PC games. Also, it's harder to get a game to work correctly on PC, because there are soooooooo many different kind of platforms (AMD, Intel, ATI, Nvidia..etc). I won't be surprise if it won't even come out for PC games. That's one of the primary reason why I'm thinking of just switching to console gameplay over PC game play.

Not mixed up there was even a few press releases if not mistaken (probably now 2-3 months old) stating that it wasn't going to do a PC release.
If you do a search you can still see theres a lot of talk of it not being released on the PC when it comes out.

If I recall correctly the call of duty website says it will be out for PC... in a few different places on the site.

I won't doubt that, but we just have to keep on waiting.
We are special, we get our own version. :D Not sure if it will be called COD3 or not, but it will be our own version.

The developer for COD3 is Treyarch that did Big Red One, I'm pretty sure it isn't coming to PC at all :(

Yeah, but Infinity Ward is currently doing a project (IW did COD1&2 on the PC)

If its on the 360, with MS's toolset it shouldn't be hard to port. I wonder why they wouldn't.
I kind of thougt Big Red One was made because the hardware was too crappy to support CoD2.
