Hi people!

Sorry because im not so good at english, but i will try to explain what made me come here!

My 3d card, an old tnt2, is getting slow on some games, and i decided to upgrade it. After some search, i found this board: ATI Radeon 8500: Good price for excellent performance.

The problem: i dont know if it is compatible with my motherboard, and this is the reason thar made me come here.

I have an ASUS P3B-F, that uses the old BX chipset, and AGP slot 1.0 (1/2x modes).

The ATI webpage is very confusing about this thing, so i decided to ask here:

My motherboard is compatible with this videocard?

Thanks for the patience to those who read my message.
regards
Tom

yes it is compatible, your englsih is fine, but the board will be running at 2X instead of the normal 4X.....so your performance may be a little slower, too little to notice a difference though, i say go for it...

funnyperson is right. That card will work fine on your motherboard, but will only run at 2x AGP. This isn't a problem because actual performance increase from 2x to 4x is unrecognizable.

It will be fine. Just make sure you run the newest drivers from ATI, as the ones that came with that card aren't the best.

the card will run very well with your Celly 900,not to its full potetnial mind you, but enough that your setup will run any game for the next two years or so with pretty much all setings maxed out...
