according to abit and intel, the mosfets can handle temps of 120c and cooling only really needs to be applied when they hit 100c. On my abit il8, the PWM temp will reach 85c in a hurry, and it seems the board is set to shutdown at 85c by default. I noticed that in Abit Eq, the alarm is set for 75c, which nothing happens when the PWM temp hits 75. Should I be able to raise the "reset" temp some where so I can actually raise my vcore from stock and not have the mobo reboot every time?

pic of the il8 with stock mosfet passive heatink, i placed an old, crappy vantec fan to blow directly on it to try and help keep it cool:

You should be able to raise the beep and shutdown temps...if not, just turn it off...

Fans of any kind are good to help keep the chipset and MOSFET's cool..
