If this is the wrong forum for this, I'm sorry.
Anyways, I'm looking for a PA system for band practice. I do vocals... and we're a hardcore band.
I was looking at this here (http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--NDYPA3)
If anyone knows anything about PA systems or in a band, I would really appreciate the advice.
Thanks,
Dan
I dont know how it would handle the distortion
Are you just going to be running vocals through it, the drums, Bass amp and Guitar amp should be able to do their jobs for practising
THen again its not relaly loud enough if you were going to be fulling a room/ hall
But as an entry level thing looks good.
I sugest going to an Audio shop and having a look/ play on them.
Find out what you need for what you want.

Thanks man.
Yeah, this is just for practice.
Dan, I don't understand why you would want to invest in something just for practice. While it seems to have a lot of features for the price, I would rather use the money towards professional gear that can be used anywhere, practice or performance. Also, I would want to hear how something will sound on the gear I'm going to be performing on rather than practice gear. Just my .02 for whatever it's worth. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

Well, most venues, churches too, have PA systems.
I'm also a bit short on money. I'm only 15, and I also need to save for a car and for stuff for projects I do.
Sooner or later, when I have spare money, I'll get something better.
Thanks for the advice, both of you, it might seem like I'm ignoring your advice but I really just wanted to make sure that this was a half decent system for practice.
No problem, Dan. Good luck with it.
All well and good.... but as I pointed out.. why?
I know its an exciting prospect to have a P.A System, but apart from Vocals shouldnt all instruments be amplified/ be loud enough anyway?

I'm not sure what your asking
The other instruments are amplified, just on something else i guess. I dont know. sorry. I'm really ignorant about this stuff.

Ah.. I'm making this myself. Not using a set - my youth pastor Matt is helping me pick out parts. Today I got a Shure SM58 microphone.
