EB Games has listed PS3 and Wii games up for sale on their site. Looks like Wii games are in the same price range as those for PS3, although some are $49.99.

Take a look to find out how much games that you want will cost. I'm sure they will put up consoles on their site very soon.

EB estimates their stuff pre-release. Especially as clandestine as Nintendo is. They very well could be lower once they actually hit the shelves.

of course stores are going to jack up the prices cause they know people will pay the over $50+ for the holidays.

Retailers don't jack game prices up when they want to, publishers and MS/Sony/Nintendo have pretty good control over retail game prices.

Retailers can make you buy bundles and whatnot, but they don't add $5 or $10 over a retail price based on what season it is.

I have to agree, their prices are likely based on information from the publisher. It would be hard to believe that publishers wouldn't disclose that kind of information to retailers in advanced.

Its all good cause I got me a Wii and Zelda on Pre Order.
I would of got me a Ps3 but I am still kinda iffy about the whole sony/Universal thing.
Sounds to much like the UMD thing.
I really dont think the Ps3 is going to take off as well as they are hoping for.
I am thinking this is going to be one horrific crash and burn and its going to **** alot of people off.
Besides I am happy with my WII60 combo and my PC.

never seen a best buy game over 49.99 unless it was for the 360 or a collectors edition then they are 59.99. Last year, they were normal prices.

I never saw game prices over $60 or $50 (for MS published titles), but you did and they got smacked down so it happening with these wii games would unlikely, heh?

Man thought Wii was going to be $50 or under as well since its not a true "next gen" system.

Oh well... And well PS3 games won't do you good unless you got your pre-order today basically, and even then the systems going to cost you a few thousand now unless your lucky and wait in line days ahead of time.

It's Next Gen, but just as 720P is not True HD-DVD his probably not to crazy to think it's not a True Next Gen. If it was not coming out with all the other Next Gen systems it could pass for no more then a rehatch on the gamecube with slightly better graphics and a new controller.

The whole point for Nintendo doing what it was doing with Wii is to keep the cost and risk down of doing consoles. I'm saying its not a true Next Gen because Nintendo was trying to pass it off as a cheaper solution no need for HD TV to play there titles reasonabley and to keep developers costs down low.

I'm not saying its not a next gen console its just not a true one thats trying to compete directly graphic wise with the compitition.

More or less trying to figure out why EB or any retailer would list the price that high for Wii when Nintendo is trying to undershoot the competition in this department keeping gaming cost similar to Gamecube.

I understand that. But even still, does a console have to compete graphically with other consoles to be a "true next-gen" console?

And I dunno about you, but I could care less if I'm running 1080i or 480p. It's the game that matters IMO. Though HD is a nice addition, it shouldn't be the selling point for all of these next-gen consoles.

What do graphics have to do with "next-gen"? It's going to be Nintendo's current generation of home console, where the gamecube was last gen, the n64 was two generations old etc.

A crappy dev's game is going to be crappy reagrdless of how good or bad the gfx are, not because the gfx are good or because its played on a gamepad.

When I think of next gen consoles, I think of a console that is faster than the previous generation, but not nescesarily as fast as killer PC.

HD Games there was going to be higher costs to or predicted higher costs so they upped the prices on them specifically PS3 and X360. Wii is not considered an HD console so the game prices shouldn't be that high unless A) theres alot more content or B) there milking the market for more money knowing they can get it.

Does anyone truelly find these new consoles to have "great" graphics. I think the Xbox360 on a HD DVD looks blocky and pixelated. My 2007FPW Dell monitor cranks out a way better picture. Consoles suck and will always suck, unless you have 4 of your buddies or something playing racing games and such.

First of HD DVD for Xbox360 is not available yet to the public.

Second, even when it is available it will only be a HD DVD player and by that I mean you will only be able to play HD DVD on it and nothing else.

Third, the whole console suck is your opinon but as much as you hate it you need to realize that consoles dominate gaming market PERIOD!

Also as far as graphics go, I would go as far as saying that they suck on 360 cause I have yet to see anything that looks better then some of the 360 games and that includes PC as well. Just a fact.

Consoles don't suck at all. I love them for a few FPS, racing games, maybe a football game or 2 and a few RPG's.

Its a persons personal opinion of course but consoles suck and will always suck isn't the proper place in this thread on the board.

BTW while slighlty off PS3 and Wii game topic does anyone know when some of the Xbox360 racing games will be coming out? I have an eye out for the next Burnout, and Forza (think thats how I spell it) and PG3 but i think thats out already but maybe not.

BTW I can't commit on graphics pre say since I don't have one but all of them look great. Wii looks damn good for not being high def IMO but most likely I'll get X360 first only after they do the die shrink.. Oh I hope that will be soon.

Forza 2 is coming out next Feb. I can't wait for that game!

From what I have seen about it, looks like it will possibly be the best racing game ever made since they have designed it with full car physics and when I say full I mean everything.

It will have around 300+ cars with full customization :drool:

Now where talking... Feb ah.... Time to convince the wife :) I know its suppose to be great, and I truely can't wait for it since I love the first one even though I'm turely not far in it.

I wouldn't camp at all. If nintendo has the numbers they say they will by the end of the year, just get to the store as early as you can or when it opens if thats an option.

Yeah, I'm not worried about it. I'll get mine off the shelf at Wal-Mart. Nintendo has said there will be enough to go around and I believe them.

I don't know guys, if I were you I'd go out and camp out.

When 360 was coming out everyone was saying that there would be consoles left over and I come to BB day early and there were people lining up. These companies always promise that there will be enough consoles to go around but at launch they always come up short for some reason, hmmmmmmmmmm I wonder why :confused:

AAA...I was so bent on getting a Nintendo Wii for the gaming experience but then I saw Final Fantasy XIII? It's already OUT? FF12 will come out on the 31st of this month and not only have they made plans for the next edition, it's ready to be sold?

I only want the PS3 for the FF series and Metal Gear Solid. GTA has lost it's uniqueness+it's being ported everywhere, and I haven't been able to touch a Zelda game in so long, a part of me yearns. Any chance FF or MGS4 will be on Wii or will it get more crap like crystal chronicles.

Got it pre-ordered.

Gamestop has infected my lovely EB and turning it into a dump like all the other gamestop stores and would only take 10, but the dumpy gamecrazy store was willing to take however many (#14) it takes.

And I know most of you think Nintendos poop smells like roses and people don't seem to doubt they will have pleanty of units, but it would be nice if they gave retailers a minimum number of units that should be shipped so the ******* at EB/Gamestop will take more than the 7 orders for themselves and 3 customers pre-orders. They took a whopping 10 pre-orders and allegedly that came from corp. Either that or they (Nintendo) doesn't have their numbers, but i don't see why they wouldn't.

Well, seeing as how the first 6 months worth of games usually stink, I'm in no hurry for either. I'll buy a Wii if I see one on a shelf but I'll wait a year or so until all the kinks are worked out of the PS3 and to see if it flops/what software is out for it.

Man that really ticks me off about these game stores.

How can anyone on Earth reserve a console when they take all the pre-orders for themselves or someone they know and they don't have trouble bumping you off the list if they need to.

Someone should do something about this!

We can do something about it. Spend our sheckles else where or wait till Newegg gets em and buy it there. I don't need one and my son will certainly survive with 360/Xbox/GC/PS2/PC/DS/PSP games till 07... or better yet I'll go down the street to the guys who don't know how many they will get but atleast have a list you can get on so when one does come in you don't have to jump through hoops to get it.
