Recently games have started to freeze on me. it does not really matter which game as they all do it at some point. The freezing is very odd though, I'll be playing and it will freeze, the sound keeps going, after about 10 seconds the sound stops, then 5 seconds later it unfreezes. I also noticed while I was playing, I was downloading something, I watched my modem lights, the modem lights were flashing just fine up until the point where the sound stopped. After the game unfreezes the modem lights go back to doing their normal flashing. I have removed my soundcard, removed all of my drives except C:\ and removed my dvd burner. The issue still persists. I have ran multiple good antispyware apps, and ran antivirus scans. Below are my specs, any help would be greatly appriciated.

P4 3.0 ... 1GB 2x512 DDR2 RAM ... 7600GT ... audigy 2 ... 5 hard disks ... fortron 530 watt PSU. XP PRO SP2.

You don't have that 7600GT OCed do you? What brand of 7600GT? Have you asked at the maker of your card site? e.g. eVga, BFG.. etc.... Sounds like your video card is causing some problems. Run some other stress tests like Prime and Super PI 32M calculation and see if it happens when just the other components are stressed. I don't come in this section much but i know a fair amount about things like this. Feel free to PM me if running Super PI and at least 4 hours of Prime95 and the tests come up clean. Most likley a card issue.

I ran PI on 32MB and within just 30 seconds I am getting these errors.

my CPU and videocard are not overclocked.
