View Full Version : RADEON 8500LE to RETAIL bios flash. Hurry!!
Some guys at 3dRage(http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33588280) have figured out how to flash OEM RADEONS to RETAIL. Supposedly, the bios update contains new voltage spec's that help get the OEM's to retail speeds and beyond. (300/600)
Keep in mind, some 8500LE owners have had problems hitting 275/500 after the flash becuase the RETAIL versions are the made from the better yields. Although, some OEMS are having no problems hitting 300/600, so it's worth a try.
ATI has already found the page and they've ordered him to take it down. I'd suggest you hurry up and get a copy before it's gone!

If ATI has in fact ordered him to take it down, I don't think you should be posting that here...

If in fact the site is taken down, I've made a copy, and downloaded the flash package.
PM me if you require it.
We're an overclocking site, this a legit topic.
(after all we're the ones making our geforces into quadros.)

edit, if you look at the rest of the posts in the rage3d forums, noone there has gotten it to work.....

Read the whole thread...unless somethings changed, then the version that I linked to works, other attempts with other BIOS flashers did not, and the version that I linked to supposedly works
