I would normally suggest ACII, but I just read a review about how this stuff that comes in a jar is better and cheaper. It is not silicon based. Let me see if I can find it...

I just tested and did a review on some stuff called CoolingFlow, out of Korea. Excellent stuff although I don't know what it's selling for...or where to get it for that matter.

It performed better on each and every one of my systems (7 including 3 dual rigs) than ASII. Temps did seem to rise a bit after about a week but were still right on par with ASII, which I'm pretty sure is nearly double the price than this stuff.

Artic Silver is a good brand .. The silicone thermal paste is only the same thing maybe a degree or two difference.

I bought some "Silicone-Based" Heat Sink Compound @ Radio Shack for $2.99, I don't know how well it works, but it has to be better than the 2 beads that Compaq had on my CPU.

CoolingFlow.

And ditto on Jon's clues (or no clues rather) on where to get it.

I totally agree with Jon & Kingslayer,
Cooling Flow is the best, but if is still not available, well, no probs, Artic Silver II is the way to go ;)
