Toca Race Driver 3+ Steering Wheel+6ft=OMG!

A friend had an old Indy 500 Midi (gameport) wheel, I asked him if I could borrow it to try out on Toca Race Driver, I was getting sick of the keyboard and it was becoming appartent that the more I got up into the game. The more it seemed I needed a wheel, such as in the British Gt series where the cars touchy...

All I gota say is, once I got everything hooked up and setup in the game. After a few laps Im having a blast!! I have so much more control over the cars now it feels like cheating. I can actualy save myself ALOT better if I screw up rather than end up doing donuts or just aright spinning. I dont have pedals for the wheel (missing) but it has 2 triggers behind the wheel itself, one for accel and the other for brakeing.....I love it! And Im sitting in front of a 6foot screen, with the cockpit veiw. I get really into it sometimes lol....

Anyway just wanted to post my new found fun, I just cant belive how much a difference there is with the wheel....Now I know why some people go through the trouble to build a sim like setup. Hmmm...I bet a stock CRX Si seat would work great....:santa: :beer:

That's great man! I wanna get that game so bad.I'll be using a gamepad though.It worked good with the demo.I think they wanted $84.95 from Codemasters online for the full version though!

Ah take a pic of that setup, sounds great! I used to have a wheel back in the N64 days, but haven't used one since then. :)

There was this AWESOME wheel for PS2 back when Gran Turismo 3 came out. It had force feedback, pedals, you name it. In fact it was SO good they released an identicle PC version. If only I could remember what it was called...

You should check out GTR 2, it's harder to play than TOCA but if you have a wheel it's a great game. Theres a demo out, plenty of places to get it.

I actually did check out the demo of GTR2 (but I didnt have the wheel at the time), seemed pretty good and I think i might get it as soon as I finish Toca. I got Toca at Gamestop for 29.99...Wal-mart did have it for awhile. Im gonna try and get good pics of my setup, Im also going to rearrange and see if I can get it more organized....:D

Hahaha! I Found the exact wheel I was talking about! It's one of the Logitechs with pedals and force feedback. Very nice :)

i had the same "issue" too

i played nfs most wanted on the keyboard for a while..lost the saved game, then my mate came arond with a xbox360, and used the control pad for nfs most wanted :D gonnna buy my self a control pad :p
