X1900XT pretty much died today, so while its in RMA I want to get a PCI card to hold me over. This way I can play games at low res and use it for a backup if I were to ever do a bad flash on a pcie card.

What should I get ?

EDIT: Can I use the second PCIE slot on a 975x board along side the first, for things other than cf ? Such as an AIW ?

PCIE suggestions welcome :D

why not just get a cheap PCIe card?
You can get a 7300GS for around $50-$60 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Category=38&N=2010380048+1069609641+106790717+1067919751&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=48)
You can get a 7300GT for $65
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130052)
Or this 7600GS for $88 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143054)

x1300 DDR2 $67 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814161163)
Here's a decent x1600PRO w/ddr3 RAM for $83 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102040)

If you're gonna spend $75 for an x1300, then at least get that x1600PRO for $83

the x1300xt is a x1600pro the only difference is the ram. Both x1300xt's and x1600pro's can come with gddr2 or gddr3 that is the only difference.

well I'd spend $8 for faster RAM

And according to a review on neoseeker, the sapphire x1300XT has a core clock of 500 vs the x1600PRO's 575

Well, you ended up getting another PCIe, but if you needed a PCI card, BFG makes a decent 6200 that does the trick.
