I completely disagree, i've had the audigy platinum and it's nothing but trouble for my system. keeps trying to share vga irq, and the drivers aren't great for it. the sound quality is fine, but i prefer my gametheater xp 6.1 from hercules, much better features, and the card is rather easy to deal with, irq routing works much better, sound quality is best (optical) and it's connectivity rules. check it out, worth it for 130 bucks retail, round 100 oem, and you get all the extras, the software bundle alone is amazing.

I have to agree on that, The Hercules Theater XP rocks it owns. Just because it has it all.. It has great sound great accessibility, great performance, no glitches and no overall conflicts.

another vote for the game theatre xp ... i don't plan on buying another sound card for a long time.
only complaint i have is driver/sound issues with my ATI AIW when watching TV but i would pick this thing over any creative product anyday.

Was this diatribe really necessary? I think you could have made your point without all of the profanity.

I'll vote on the Game Theatre.......I've heard/seen one in action, and I'm impressed.
I'll have to vote for the Audigy myself. I have had no problems with it and it has the best sound quality out of any other sound card I have ever had!
