Umm.....are you sure there aren't any clearance issues with the WW and the mobo?
(Clanger)(DOA)
10-14-06, 05:24 PM
Hmm well lemmeshowyashomthin
Its a custom .080 offset bracket :P
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g61/novitus/IMG_0120-1.jpg
Nice job bro. That modded WW block should kick some serious backside! Let us know what your temps are when you get it running. I always thought the 2 returns on the WW was good thinking!

Nice, I think I need to get me one of those if I'm ever going to go C2D.

10-14-06, 10:29 PM
Well temps are 25c idle and the highest load temp ive seen soo far is 44c. Tomorrow we will see if i can get more MegAhurtz. shooting for 4.5
It's great fun modding a less than functional case, into something custom. I'm liking the vinyl tubing, I must have a thing for vinyl. I don't see too many people with D-Tek equipment anymore.
(Clanger)(DOA)
10-15-06, 01:29 PM
I smell 4.5 :D
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g61/novitus/holycrap.jpg
:O Running orthos at 4.5 now.

Ok, it has failed orthos within like 2 mins. Is there anyway to get it to pass will upping the vcore make a diffrence?

You have an extra barb on your res, send two lines from the CPU outlet to the res, ie no Y needed.

The BIX2 is on it's way - looking good!!
(Clanger)(DOA)
10-17-06, 12:30 PM

get the dremel out!! Or hole saw if you like it better.
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m30/ctrl_alt_del_/untitled.jpg
2 120's on top, 1 on the back. Mount the H/C with the barbs sideways not to interfere with the bix.
Was the case all black originally or did you paint it?
(Clanger)(DOA)
10-17-06, 01:08 PM
painted it with textured metal paint and a semi gloss.
Soo put the BIx out side on top of the case? and the 120 in side above the PSU? thats a pretty good idea. (dremel twitches in case)

10-17-06, 01:34 PM
The bix on the outside is much easier than inside (even though I prefer inside due to having a small boy that gets his fingers on everything, including Delta fans going at 100000000 RPM). All you need is a couple of stand offs to raise the rad and 2 minor holes for the tubes to go in the case. Example (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=482096)
Then mount the H/C on the back on top of the PSU and you're set!!
(Clanger)(DOA)
10-17-06, 02:03 PM
now putting those rads in those locations, will that cause alot of stress on the D4? Or should it handle it pretty well?

I believe that once the loop is setup and the water is flowing, the pressure on the pump is minimal - but I will let the "senior" members answer that one!
I really like your res its huge where did you get it from?

Got the rad yet? Any progress?

To your question about the pump's stress. It really doesn't matter where the pump sets in the loop once it is primed. Pressure will be the greatest right after the pump.

as i thought, I positioned the pump just below the res @ 1st so that it would kinda insta-prime as i filled the loop.

Tubes are looking a little foggy, I'd add some pure iodine and get some additive running in there.

Nice job Clanger - I am glad to see my parts found a good home! Only thing I would do differently is to get some Clearflex or Masterkleer tubbing for the whole loop - oh and paint that heater core black!!!
Looking good anyways!

Try without the pro120 if you are bored, you might have better temps with more water flow and less cooling surface.

If anyone is looking for one. FrozenCPU has one that's similar..
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2182/ex-res-10/Typhoon_Dual_525_Bay_Reservoir_-_CLEAR.html?tl=g30c97s168
The clear one is currently OOS, but they also got other color like UV Blue and stuff.

Hey man setup looks great. it is much easier to see how water cooling will turn out when I decide to install it. You make it look easy man:)

Nice place to mount the fans. you did a good job mounting them :santa:
(Clanger)(DOA)
10-25-06, 08:15 PM
there is a BIXII rad directly under them.
I am trying to figure out where I am going to mount my Thermachill 120.2 in my stacker 830. water cooling will be a tight fit:eek:
Can i ask what temps you got from air, because i would like to see how much a 120mm radiator can drop the temps as opposed to air :) but very nice man
