Hi guys,
I got a problem when I hit the ctrl+alt+delete in winXp, it should show up the nice little box where the option to lock the computer should be here... but all it bring is the task manager... how do I get this nice window? like in NT4 and 2k?
thanks
It is working the way it is designed to work. You are supposed to get the Task Manager. I am not familiar with locking it from there as I haven't run 2K or NT.

It is one of the options on the task manager. 1st button on the left.
use the windows key with the L key and see how that works for ya! also you can toggle users with windows key + Q! have fun.

what I do mean is the little little windos, with 6 buton (I tink)
the first on left bottom is LOCK COMPUTER, there is on for shut down, reboo, tast menu... other
oh...i had this problem too...to enable it you'll have to go to the users in control panel
then "control how users lockin" and uncheck both "fast user switching" and the "pretty login screen"
that'll fix your problem :)
EDIT: if you just get rid of fast user switching it'll take u to the login screen so its not REALLY locked...
the task manager screen will be back to the way it was in 2000 as well
