does anyone know if the via 800 is overclockable?

Via took over Cyrix, and as far as I can remember, they do clock, but run very hot at stock speeds.........

For bargain chips, better going down the Duron/Celeron path......

i rember an article that the via 700 didnt even need active cooling

i think they run very cold
but check it out first

my hs fell off of my cyrix III 600 once, it was overclocked to 750 , and never skipped a beat.

it might be overclockable, but if you want something that overclocks well and has the same performance as a CyrixIII you might want to try a Celeron 300A.:D
