I have a stock Intel cooler left over from my C2D 6600, and am wondering whether or not it will work kay on a 930 chip?

At the mo I have an XP90C on the 930, but it runs consistently at around 60 degrees, and I'm thinking it isn't seated properly. The machine isn't overclocked at all, so I figure I may as well put the stock C2D cooler on there if it will fit okay (height, etc)

Hoping some Intel buff will know the answer (why I didn't put it in 'cooling' btw, but Mod's... feel free to shift it is you think I will get a better response there pse)

Thanks... I thought as much myself...

Was maybe hoping someone had tried the C2D cooler on a non C2D chip... unsure as to whether they are the same thickness or not.

yea the stocker with the c2d's is the same as with the 5xx/6xx/9xx retail cpu's.
