Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought that next day air honestly meant "next day,"(After Fedex received the package of course)
--> Had a WB issue on my x1800xt on Wednesday night, ordered a new swiftech MCW60-B @ 9:44AM on Thursday. Order was processed, and info stated that the package was turned over to Fedex on 12:41PM of that day. Long story short, my package did not arrive "next day," it instead arrived on Monday of the following week(4 days after order, 2business days). Since not having the WB put my rig "down," I paid $28.99 for overnight shipping instead of the $4.12 for express supersaver (which usually takes ~3days).
So my question is, why is there no liability on the part of Fedex to keep up their end of the agreement??? I called their customer service and all they could tell me was that "they were sorry for these unavoidable delays."
Is it unreasonable for me to be pursuing a refund of the excess I paid in shipping? Is there some clause that says "overnight does not necessarily mean 'overnight.' sir"? I felt like I'd been wronged here; they couldn't even offer a reason why my package was not here on time.
??any input?? Did I get hosed, or is this std. practice??
