Pin Wrap for cCo Celery 600

Hey guys... I've seen the pin wrap trick for the cBo celerys out there... does anyone know how to do the one for the cCo's??? Thanks

Same diagram applies. You just get more voltage options with the cC0 than you did with the cB0.

There's no difference, just release dates usually and core type, but the PIN assignments are the same... just the default voltage changed so a modification of which PINs to wrap is needed...

Start with Page 18 in this datasheet (ftp://download.intel.com/design/celeron/datashts/24365819.pdf). It has the PIN assignments for various voltages.

Page 93 has the FCPGA PIN assignment diagram. The vid pins you'll be focusing on wrapping are on the upper right of the diagram.

Now someone else on the forum who knows how to put 2+2 together to get the desired default voltage for you will have to take it from here...

For a coppermine CPU with the default voltage of 1.7v (if the default voltage is anything other than 1.7v then this will NOT apply), here are the pins to wrap:

VSS+VID0=1.75v
VSS+VID1=1.8v
VSS+VID0+VID1=1.85v
VSS+VID2=1.9v
VSS+VID0+VID2=1.95v
VSS+VID1+VID2=2.0v
VSS+VID0+VID1+VID2=2.05v

The easiest would be wrapping just two pins, so 1.8v or 1.9v are the logical choices.

Well, it's a cheater way to increase the amount of voltage running to the processor. If a motherboard has no voltage adjustments or has too few options, you can change the amount of voltage going to the processor using one of these pin wraps.

It fools the motherboard into thinking the default CPU core voltage is higher than it really is.
