hehe, the huge heatsink and fan, and the normal one is on the left :)

damn thing took up 2 of my pci slots :burn:

hehe i just overclocked it to 215/215 with no artifacts (default is 165/165) i gained an extra 20fps in q3a :)
all in all, i beleive this is a bit of overkill for cooling a radeon, lol

haha...shweet....that is awesome man....truly amazing.....it so neat too, i modded my geforce2 with a crappy PIII slot 1 hs (kept my PIII 600 at a toasty 45-50C IDLE, and went u to 65 load:eek: ) so i dont know why i thought it might cool my geforce well.....and it looks ugly, once i hook these best buy webcams up ill have some pics :)

not bad.. i just wonder how that sink would perform to a blue/chrystal orb.

i have a feeling that it would crush the blorb, and compete with the crystal orb (depending on what speed that fan is), but it s probly not as good as the cystal orb...ooooh shiny nickel plated copper:burn:

edit: heh just noticed that we had the same mobo, but whats that fan behnd the video card....looks like a socke hs, but that cant be, do you have active memory cooling?

i think thats his northbrige cooling..

the fan behind my videocard? thats part of the alpha, i have a tiny fan under it on the northbridge, but the huge alpha kinda blocks the view :)

ohh and i got my shiny new heatspreaders on my ram. i dont care what you all say, they actually do help, my computer freezes less now :) and my ram is no longer searing hot to the touch, heh

Edit: and the fan on the videocard moves 30cfm of air and its not any louder than my cpu fans :)

nope just checked my mobo, the northbridge is rright below the slot 1 heatsink, i remeber because i wanted to upgrade it and i realized that it would obstuct my VGSO8H, now all he needs is a crystal orb on the northbridge, and a Vos-32 on the PIII, and a VolcanoII on the clock generator (might as well go fully insane ;) )

That seems a little extreme for me. I'm just gunna attach a blorb to my Radeon. Even @ 7v (I was using my 3-4 pin modified connector) it moves more air than the anemic stock fan.

aka, blaze o' glory :p

first i started by adding the ramsinks and i overclocked the ram to 180 stable, and i tried ocing the gpu but with the stock radeon heatsink/fan i couldnt get more than 3 extra mhz out of it, lol. so i looked in my box o' parts and found the heatsink and the fan and i took out the hacksaw and chopped the heatsink to fit and filed it down smooth and purdy :) then put it on with articsilver/superglue and the fan is like way too big for the heatsink so i just superglued the fan to the heatsink, lol

lol BIGRED thats crazy man superglued the FAN to the heatsink thats dangerous. i'd suggest u check it once a month or so...

well i put a TON of glue on it :p and its thermal resistant super glue so it should hold pretty well, plus im getting a radeon 8500 for xmas from myself, lol so i dont care about this card that much, thats why i did the insane heatsink mod :p

You know the jumpers on the back of the HD you know the black thing that goes on the jumpers this lets u choose from slave to master etc.. where could i buy me one of those?

that's crazy. The weird thing is last night i was looking at my tnt2 and the extra cpu hs/f i had laying around and thinking about doing the same thing. I prolly won't though because i think i'll need it in the new rig i'm building.

Tell us how high you get!! Totally rocking dude!!

If I would have had a old heatsink fan around I would have done the same with my 64 vivo

ugh i think i hit the limit at 219/219 if i try and push the ram or gpu higher than that i get some really weird looking things in q3a hehe

anyone know how i would go about doing a volt mod for my ram on this card? :)

Thats awesome.
