View Full Version : Poor FSX Performance.

Hi,

I managed to install FlightSimX last night.

It seems to run extremely slowly with any eye candy running.
If I turn everything down to Medium-Low I can get high 20's frames per second.

Which seems rather poor for my system, or is my system getting a bit old now?

I don't know the game but 1900 should run just about anything you can toss at it. Reinstall? Drivers updated? CCS disabled as it just uses a bunch of memory for nothing?

I have reinstalled Windows, updated all the drivers. Now I can run it on medium-high but it still doesn't look any prettier than FS2004.

Plus I can't turn the traffic on particulary high otherwise I get 15FPS which I can't fly with, it is so empty Gatwick is like a morgue.

And DX10 would help too, but thats not out yet and either is Vista. so your SOL for now...

Sounds exactly like the same prefomance I was getting on mine. And I was getting 10-15FPS with everything on LOW.

And this was exactly the same for my Opteron 170 system I had, and both cores are maxed out on my old system and new one with the same FPS.
