So I'm looking for new headphones for my ipod. I purchased some Sennheiser CX300's and that noise you hear when you rub the cord annoys the bejeezus out of me. Is that common to IEM's?
I've since returned them, but I still need headphones/iem for it. The common ones I know of are the Shure e2c, Etymotic 616, and super.fi 3. If any of you guys own those, or can recommend better for about the same price please let me know.
Thanks!
There's plenty of previous posts on in-ear headphones. I think most folks like the Etymotic ER6i. I had the older ER6P and it was really crisp and clear, but lacks a bit in the bass.. The ER6i are supposed to provide a bit more bass support.
Shure also makes comparable IEM's but I prefer the Etymotics over the similar Shure models. The Etymotics ER4P are what I use now.

Yeah I've read some of those, and done a bunch of research on those models themselves, but the question I had was more about the vibration of the cord being transfered as noise to your ear with IEM's.

That sort of interference is non-existent as far as personal experience goes. I've never had issues with it.
