Has anyone heard of an Expresscard Soundcard coming out anytime soon?

This USB sound just isn't the best. I mean it will get me by until an Expresscard solution comes out, but it's just not that great.

Anyone heard anything about Expresscard Soundcards coming anytime in the somewhat near future? Or even anything at all?

Expresscard slots replaced/are replacing traditional PCMCIA slots in laptops.

Expresscard is good for future upgrading and stuff, but in having kind of an early adapting laptop. So I don't have a lot of choices for worthwhile uses. And since I didn't spring for the 60 something dollar docking port expansion thing that was offered with my laptop, I only have 2 channel output for sound, instead of 5.1.
That's once reason i got the USB soundcard (The main reason is that I sometimes use this laptop to DJ, and needed multiple channels). But what sucks with USB sound is that is uses so many resources. Just sitting idle it'll use %5-%8 of CPU. And playing audio (just an MP3) will cause it to go up to %10-%20. Kind of a lot of overhead if you want to use it to game. :(
