Same here, they look cool, but half the point of a mod is the modding.

Wouldn't that kill the effect of the fan?

I'd be interested, if you could find a way to turn the lights off and not the fan.

Those look cool, but wouldn't adding LEDs to the blades screw with the balancing of the fan?

I might buy one how much to mod a 120mm panaflo with one blue and one red. read two 120mm with two leds each. can the panaflos be modded like yours there? you ever try SMD LEDs? might be better IMHO.

Well, I got your email, but it didn't wanna email you back for some reason.

You said you could mod it so I could turn off the lights. Well, that'd be really cool, but I don't think its worth the ~$60 CDN it would cost me.

LED Fan project Part list
-------------------------
Thermaltake Fan = $8.50 http://www.nexfan.com/43/182.htm?469

Dual-Ball-Bearing 120mm Fans = http://www.bestbyte.net/

2 3mm Blue LEDs = $6
http://www.allelectronics.com/matrix/Miniature_LEDS.html
(or 2 5mm White LEDs)
http://www.allelectronics.com/matrix/Standard_LEDS.html

470ohm resistor = $0.10 http://www.caseetc.com/cgi-bin/caseetc/EC-069.html

22AWG wire = $1 http://www.caseetc.com/cgi-bin/caseetc/EC-088.html

Braided wire = $4 www.ehobbies.com
--------------------------------------------
If you want the LED to be switchable you simply need to use an an SPST switch (obvious with a LONG bit of wire) between the resistor and positive lead on the fan power connection.
