Haven't heard anything about it Stateside. I wonder how it compares to the Gainward Bliss.
Would keep Dothan users up to date at least.
Shamelessly ripped from XSF.

Nice pic of the video card  Also it comes at the end of november so others may come stateside by then as well.
Edit: also the phrase "HDCP Ready!!" is intising. If anyone else said it I would dismiss the card as only having the ability to have the hdcp chip however in this case...
Nice, I may have to get rid of my x1600 for one of those.

Looks like an accelero cooler.
Pretty, big but pretty. Wonder on the temps with that hunk of metal

Was just reading this on softpedia.com. Going to be fun to see some benchmarks of a card this powerful using the good ole agp arch.

Heh, if it performs as well as the 1900xt, I might sell off the rig in my sig and go back to my Dothan. Long live the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe!

It won't be as fast as a full x1900xt, the one linked here is an x1950Pro. It's a tweaked R580 core called R570 with 3/4 the pipelines, pixel shaders etc and meant to go up against the 7900gs at the ~$200 mark. You can find reviews at most all the major sites by now. It will be a great AGP card if it's released in quantity.
Kind of irrtating to me, ATi had apparently abandoned AGP altogether for a looong time and NV only had the 7800gs and one company (LeadTek) which made a somewhat hard to find in stock 7600GT. For this reason I sold off my 'good' s478 parts which I would have transitioned into an HTPC except there were no HDCP AGP cards...now this pops up :bang head

Looks nice, can't wait to see some more of that. Still got 2 pcs running agp cards...
how much of a jump would this be on my x850xt? Worth the money, or no?

850xt is a pretty good card I think. Depends on how much you game. IMHO it wouldn't be worth it to upgrade.
Heh, this card has me debating whether to abandon my PCI-E rig.
Probably a bad idea there Mav. Unless a new AGP standard comes out....

I game a good bit. If it isn't that big of a difference(and it sounds like it isn't), i can save up money and get a PCI-E setup sometime next year.

Wow it's nice to still see life breathing into AGP.

Looks like an awesome card for AGP, but wouldn't a regular(non-Asrock) AGP system bottleneck the Hell out of that card?

Most definetely. I don't see any CPU keeping up with it except for maybe a Dothan.

so what i see here if im right,in what your saying. this new old build that im doing asus k8n-e deluxe and 3400 venice 754.so the card will bottleneck the cpu is that right.?

Most likely. How fast is the 3400 venice going to be running? If it get around 35sec or less in SuperPi than I would go for it. When I used to play World of Warcraft, going from a 3.92Ghz P4 with HT to a 2.7Ghz PM750 I noticed a big difference in how fast things loaded.
I think the best bang for the buck for your system might be a 6800GS or an unlockable x800.

Hey guys, I have the Palit version of the X1950GT in AGP.
Its a 512MB card and it is pretty overclockable.
using ATi Tray Tools (latest beta only) I was able to clock it to 600.75Mhz core and 702mhz memory with stock cooling etc and the GPU temps still stay very low, for some reason if i try above this speed it hangs the system.. i think it may be a power issue... who knows, but in any case that means you get even above pro speeds and increase from the GT specs by a mile for a cheap price...
(Stock GT 500/600 Stock Pro 575/650)
And in terms of performance, in my cruddy old XP3000 with 2GB DDR333 and Nforce2 board, was able to pull out 13,467 in 3Dmark2003 and 4,149 in 3Dmark2006. You can tell that my CPU is the obvious bottleneck here.
Anyway, for a budget, the X1950 is a great card and allows me to run S.T.A.L.K.E.R. at 1360x768 with all options (including full HDR) at max with a decent framerate.
So happy with that.
(oh and for comparison, before I OC'd the X1950GT, it was getting about 11,800 on 3Dmark03... and my old card.. a 9800pro... well... we know how crap that would have been)
