Is this good or not ?

I found this deal at futureshop.ca, and just wondering what you people thought about this program, if it's worth it or not.

It might be ok. My buddy had the Version 3.0 (just uses an older engine)

The only thing is it uses its own language(wdm), that's pretty similar to BASIC I'd say.

You might wanna take a look at darkbasic.com and try out their demo before you fork out the cash.

It's very similar to what your looking at.

It said it used the MS Visual C++ 6.0 compiler, Genesis 3D SDK, Shadow Realm Model Editor, and ..., so is it the same thing as DarkBasic ?

No it'll be different then darkbasic then.

I have actually played around with the Genesis engine before and it's actually really nice.

I'd definately say if you want to get started in programming(windows/directx) to pick that up (though learning C++ without previous experience seems iffy to me)
