Well, its a long story but here goes. My PC basically broke, the IDE2 connection on my motherboard has misteriasly decided to stop working.

So, me and my dad thought (ding) bright idea. We took my USB HD (that wasnt in use) and modded it... We took the device out of its enclosure and connected up the CD drive. And it works! :

(FULL STORY)

I turned on my PC, and my CD drives had gone.
I had :
120gb hd
160gb hd
CD/RW drive
DVD/RW drive.

The 2 hd's in IDE 1 and the 2 cd drives in IDE 2.

We switched cables, swapped IDE's, messed with the bios but still no good.
