Hey Im running my 7600GT @ 620 core/1640 memory. Heat issues are limiting the core, but the memory. I'd like to find the max, how do you know the max OC for video memory. increase the Mhz till it starts to act weird? I do not want to damage it.

Basically, when you start to hit your max you will get artifacts. It won't crash like clocking the core usually. Don't be susprized if you don't get very far though. Most memory on cards won't OC much.

you can use the latest beta version of ATi tool, yes they work for overclocking nVidia cards too, and scan for max memory. Also you could detect optimal frequencies in the control panel if you have the option. Both of these will give you a general ball park figure for how far you can go in current conditions. After you get an idea of how much your ram can take mess around with the frequencies in stressful programs such as fear or 3dmark06.

well I put it to 620 core and 1700Mhz memory, it tests good with ATI tool, but I think it needs better cooling, I put artic silver for the core, but didnt notice a difference, also slapped a 80mm fan to blow on it. the core gets deep into the 70s. Memory looks like there's still room to play with, but Im not going to push my luck I think.

well I decided to play around some more with the memory, I can put it to 1740Mhz, only 60Mhz away from maxing out coolbits. At 1760, coolbits says it fails at that point.
