Okay I just got a good deal on a Abit III Slotket and my cpu is a Celly 600mhz. What voltage & FSB do I set it to? Also there is another pin that lets me select coppermine or PPGA. Which one do I select? I'm just hoping for a 1ghz with my celly.

if your celly 600 is a cc0 then 1ghz is a fairly safe bet


if your motherboard allows FSB adjustment and voltage adjustment, set the slocket to take motherboard settings, then set the motherboard to 112mhz fsb, 1.75v


thats what my chippie takes to make 1008, yours mayneed more vcore, esp if it is cb0

As saytan said, if you have the desired options on your mobo then set fsb and voltage to auto. If the voltage options on the mobo aren't enough, then set at what you require. Just remember to have proper cooling. You also need to set the slotket to "coppermine". Let us know how it goes. :D

As mentioned set it to auto fsb/voltage and then adjust it from the bios..

And proper cooling is needed to hit 1gig.

Really??? AW CRAP!!! :eek: I forgot about that!!!

Heh heh heh... I did it with a Gorb... that ain't proper cooling for something running at 1 gig. I'm getting a PEP66 with a YS-Tech 38 (I think) cfm fan, and a 72w peltier... now THAT'S proper cooling, esp. for someone who's too lazy for watercooling....

The Vcore's at 1.95, that's a bit too high for my tastes. That, and if I got one or two more Mhz out of it I wouldn't complain. I like it right here but I don't wanna have to watch the temps as much as I am, 1.95's the highest the SA6-R goes.

I think the voltage is sorta fine.. Although you should try to bump it down after lots of burn ins..

Your almost at your limit.. Just like a 75 mhz difference.

They have Asus Smart Slot as well the MSI..

and others.. but I'm trying to find a store which I can't find..

Your best bet is to check on eBay. Thats where I got mine. It cost me $19 shipped and it looks brand new. I was lucky enough to find the item first and end it with a buy it now option. It just takes patients in finding a good price one. CHeck out Iwills slocket II or III are also great.
