Speech Typing?

How do those programs work? Has anyone had any experience with them? Are they difficult to use or do they respond very slowly? Thanx

I've had trouble with those programs alot..

I tried to make it reconize my voice for 2 weeks still wasn't good.

Works like crap (at least for me). I was using Dragon Naturally Speeking, donno for others, it came with WordPerfect. I tried "speaking" something, like CAR, it typed LARD or something weird. There's nothing yet that replaces the good old keyboard !:D

You know what they should do? Before releasing the finished product it should be put through a torture test. If they can get speech recognition software to translate spoken word into text when spoken by Bill Cosby then, and only then, should they be allowed to send it to market. Then you know it'll figure out your words! :D

those probrams suck!!!!!!!!! one i told it to write "...while he...", the damn program wrote something like "i like chiken..."
They basicly suck
