My only question is about the ram... Why Corsair? why not Crucial?
I was curious so I checked for pricing and all that... found that you could get the same for less....
Check it here (http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.asp?model=KR7A-RAID&x=17&y=11)
Maybe you know something I dont.. dunno...

dunno why exactly - i mean i guess i've always had corsair and have little experience with crucial. good stuff then?
Well I personally cant say YET.!~!
I have a stick on order now... should be gettin it soon.. always heard great things about them, most that Ive read says that they are great for ram and overclocking... heck... if yea like, save yea about 100 bucks too boot!~!

ah and i see where it comes in
crucial only make up to 256meg chips, and i'm looking for dual 512's totalling out at 1 Gig of Ram. HEAVY graphics work for me (and getting into animation video editing)... no such thing as too much ram with these kinds of apps.
lemme know how you like it though. as always, a million different reports, but i only listen to a handfull of people (you being one of em :burn: ) so...
Well thats not totally true.. they do make larger sizes... However finding them I have foudn VERY difficult... the ones that are listed on that link I gave you was what they suggested for the mobo your wanting to use.. I have seen 1 gig chips however.. but the prices on those I havent been able to find yet.. They suggest by motherboard before anything else... Why I am not exactly sure, but they do.. If I can find some of the 512 variety Ill post it here for yea...

wow.. I feel so special!~! :p
Ok just FYI - I spent some more time searching the crucial site trying to find something or somewhere to actually buy something other than what is suggested. I could find nada, so I ended up e-mailing them asking if there was a way to do this, and how I could if it is possible. If your interested Ill let yea know once I get a response from them. Cuz I gotta say, its rather annoying when your told that your mob can handle up to 1.5gigs of ram and you want to go crucial ram, but they wont sell yea anything above 256meg chips.. 256x4 slots... Im only seeing on gig here.. grr...
So anywho.. if your interested, Ill let yea know!~!
Peace

'preciate that. truthfully i'm marginally interested but will probably just go with the corsair cause it's what i know. i did however find the link for 512mb modules and all it had was a waiting list so when it did come out, they'd let you know.
