I am also looking for a good fan to replace the Scythe one with. I am very open to suggestions.

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower - Newegg - $132.00
Seasonic S12 Series S12-600W - Zipzoomfly - $135.00

Please let me know if there is anything you would swap out or anything I am missing (Besides a monitor and a hard drive, both of which I already have.[/B]

I am in no immediate hurry, so hopefully some prices will go down between now and the time I will buy. (Waiting till the day after Thanksgiving)

As far as the graphics card goes, I really only play a few EA games and GTA San Andreas so I really shouldn't need the best card out there.

with that board able to hit high fsb clocks you want to go with the E63 or E64. if you dead set on the E66 go with a 975x mobo like the asus p5w/abit aw9d-max,aw9d

Gotta love the E6600 with 4M of cache, but if you are looking for the best bang for the buck, you might consider the E6400 instead. Then you can get a better vid card.

I prefer single rail powersupplies. Since you are looking at OCZ, go with the proven Powerstream 520W (see link). It's only $99.99 after instant savings and rebate.

I love my powerstream :)

I'd recommend the x1950Pro (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102061), unbeatable price for the preformance you get :)

The memory you posted looked good, expecially if you want to reach high FSB's.

Interesting to read the reviews, people rating it 5 stars before they even buy it...I'd say go with the 7600GT for 119, it's a great card and will run most games well, and then when it becomes somewhat old you can get a dx10 card for cheap.

or maybe a 7900gt...the new revision.

i personally wouldnt spend over $225 on a gfx with the G80 right around the corner.

no. not required. nothing is required. you could be running a '95 mac.

Even when Windows Vista and DX10 arrive, along the next generation of DX10 compatible vid cards, the games coded to take advantage of DX10 will still lag behind. Also, you will still be able to play the DX10 games with DX9, just not as efficiently. The point I think was being made is this: it might not pay to spend a lot of bucks on a new vid card now, if you intend to upgrade to DX10 at some point within a few months down the road.
