I am building a new system and am not sure what power supply I should go with.
my budget is around $150 and I want to be able to get it from new-egg.
the specs:
Case : COOLER MASTER Centurion RC-534-KWN1-GP Black Aluminum
Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard
GFx : Open Box: ATI 102-435721 Radeon X1900XTX 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 CrossFire
CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz LGA 775 Processor
Mem : OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit
HDD : Western Digital Caviar SE WD2500JS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive X2
DVD RW : Pioneer 16X DVD±R DVD Burner With 5X DVD-RAM Read Black
Cooler : Open Box: Scythe SCINF-1000 120mm CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink - OEM
I am leaning towards the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 EPS12V EPS12V 610W Continuous @ 40°C Power Supply - Retail for $160
All so do you think this system will be good I am going to use it mostly for gaming. My budget is $1500 and right now I am at about $1350 with that PC power supply.

Intel Matrix Raid *for your two hardrives* capable unlike the DS3 and high FSB overclocking (GA-965P-DS3 has a bit of a D9 IC'd Ram bug currently from the user feedback I've heard as well, hopefully that will be fixed with a bios update soon)
Ram suggestion: Crucial Technology 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 3-3-3-12 (10th aniversery ed.) D9 IC's on the cheap $229.99

Extra multiplier for easier overclocking at only $40 more, highest multiplier per dollar of all core 2 duo's currently out as well.

I recomend the Themaltake Toughpower 600w PSU. Been using it for some time, and it works like a charm.

Ok I changed it to the sparkle PSu
and the motherboard, ram, and CPU that you suggested.
Will that ram be able to clock fast enought fror a good overclock?
I also added this
SAMSUNG 204BW Black 20" 6ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with Height Adjustments 300 cd/m2 700:1 - Retail And it comes with a free printer.

This unit would more suite your needs:

For the motherboard, if you are willing to spend a little extra, I would recommend the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe. Also, if you are willing to be an early adopter, wait for RD600 based boards. :)

Yes, it has D9 IC's much like the Gskill HZ's everyone recomends (though binned different)
@Super Nade do you think that Corsair units extra 12VA's (4 more) are even needed?
Or is there something else you like about the unit that makes it better then the sparkle?
The DH is a good board but I would recomend it more for Conroe builds personaly.
Well with the Seasonic built Corsair you'd be getting a power supply that is much more efficient (80% +) and I'm going to go out on a limb and say quieter as well (compared to the Sparkle server unit). As you can see here (http://www.jonnyguru.com/PSU/HX520W/), it did very well in the Gurus tests.
Of course the Seasonic built PC P&C Silencer would be good to as would the Etasis built silverstone that greenmaji mentioned.
I think if Thermaltake dropped the price just a little on their CWT built Tough Power units it would do wonders of making them standout. They did rather well in the Gurus tests but at the same price as an Etasis or Seasonic or Zippy its hard to recommend them. Regardless it would still be a good choice.
