I checked this one out a few weeks back and it's really not too bad. The ghosting is bearable. The colors aren't the best but if it's not next to a CRT or high end LCD you won't notice.
I'm considering it for a second monitor, but I think I'll hold out until BF, should be able to get something similar for $120-ish?

I'm hoping to snag a new second LCD on BF as well. My 6 year old HP 17" LCD looks pretty awful next to my 2407 WFP :)
Not a bad price, expecially w/o MIR! Humm, widescreen and all, nice.

I have a regular 19" LCD (non-wide) and it's PERFECT next to my 2405fpw... the height of the 19" almost matches perfectly to the 24" widescreen... for that reason, I like the 19" non-wide next to the 24".

Yeah, i was thinking a regular 19" might do well, since the 17" now is just a bit too short (it has a big plastic bezel). It will probably come down to which ever is cheaper come that magical day.

I'll go to the store over in Burlington, it's fairly close and see if they have one. If not I'll ask for a raincheck and/or substitute. I'll let you know what happens.

Burlington Ontario, anyway the manager at the store was a real jerkoff, acted like it was a GREAT bother to talk to a CUSTOMER, frack him. No substitutions, no rainchecks. The NICE lady at the cash register said they only had one to begin with and sold it and the display first thing this morning, so she checked all of lower Ontario and Buffalo and NOBODY had any. She told me they get shipments on Tuesday. I then called my brother in Knoxville TN, who works near one and happens to know somebody that works there and he said they too only had one yesterday when the ad hit. HOWEVER, he said that he was expecting 7 in on Wednesday and would hold one back then. I asked my brother if he'd pick one up and he said "Merry Christmas, can you wait that long?" to which I replied "I've got as long as the old NEC CRT will hold out". LOL!!!!

i think it is mainly the deal sites like slickdeals and fatwallet that kill it for everyone else, but that is what they live life to do
they sit around all day, search and refresh websites for deals just so they can be the first to post it to get their 5 minutes of bargain fame
when they do thousands rush the site and buy them up before anyone else knows what the hell is going on
i live in green bay, so you would think these items would be in stock since:
1: it is a football town
2: most people are old(worse than florida here)
3: it is a small city
however everytime i try to get these deals they are always sold out here:(

Well, I've got mine now and let me say this IT KICKS ASS!!!! Plugged it into the Mac via DVI. NO DEAD OR STUCK PIXELS!!! The mini autodetected the monitor, threw it into 1440x768 and what a HUGE improvement over the 17" NEC CRT. I'm loving this!!! Even at the $219 regular price, it is WELL WORTH IT. Beautiful colours, sharp text, perfect viewing angles. I couldn't be happier!
