Well I have a extremely weird problem with my USB ethernet adapter under XP. Let me explain this. I have PCI AMD Networkcard which I use for my cable internet connection. Then I have a Silicom USB Ethernet adapter for my LAN at home. When I used 98se i had no problems. But now under XP there is a weird problem. :(
When i boot windows there is an icon beneath which says that that networkcable on my usb adapter isn't plugged in (or badly). I try to refresh but it still doesn't work. Now when I disable the LAN Network the following happens: I reboot Windows and the icon is gone because I manually disabled the the LAN. When I go to Network Options I try to switch the LAN network back on, and guess what: Now it DOES work!?!?
Can someone me wtf is happening :)
