how can i oc my 8500 card
when i was playing games my pc would reboot on me and i did not know what the problem was so i went to the settings and changed the setting so i would get the error instead of the shut down. i played ghost recon and got the blue screen and a error for the ati. has anyone had this problem?
i downloaded the latest drivers but still no luck.

I have an 1800xp 1.53@1.69

is your computer OC'd? maybe you have the FSB to high...

yes it is oc'd. the fsb is @ 146x11.5 i cant get any higher than that i,m not unlocked yet.

well when you adjust the FSB you change the speed of everything in the computer not just the cpu...so you could try lowering the FSB also do you know what your divider?

Put the FSB to 150 mhz, it will most probably work if your mem can handle it (if not up the Mem Voltage) your CPU should be ok then the divider will kick in, that should solve it!!! The other divider kicks in @ 166.
Correct me if i'm wrong!

I put the fsb at 150 and increased the mem volt but i could not boot into windows got an error windows\system32\config\system

no ,there isnt a divider t 150mhz fsb ,I dont even think they have the 1/5 divider functioning yet but if they did the divider would kick in @166 fsb.

I just remembered as they said it hadn't....yet how come a few people have hit 192fsb and a lot 180fsb???
