hi,

My water in my server has turned brown....I am using distilled water and algecied. What is going on? The description of my server is on my sig.

If its turned brown, you have two possibilities. Either corrosion or growth. Seeing as you have algaecide in your loop, that probably is out. However, given that you have Thermaltake parts and no anticorrosive in your loop, and they love mixing metals, my bet would be corrosion. You are going to have to take the loop apart and isolate the source of the corrosion to make dure you scrub it out. Your rad is going to need a good multiple vinegar/water overnight soaking or such to make sure it is cleaned out properly as also the rest of your parts.

Most people use a 10-15% mix of antifreeze.

iodine turns brown after a while....

just use water nothing else and see what happens...

as much as possible i do not want to use antifreeze do to the fact that if it does leak it wont mess up my carpet. what other anticorrosive liquids do u guys recommend that will not ruin my carpet if it does leak.

Replace any aluminum parts with copper parts. Thats the best way.

i believe the only aluminum parts in my loop is that damn thermaltake block....I will remove that P.O.S! If I do, can I just run distilled water and some algecied?

Yes.

A few drops of iodine don't turn the water brown.
