Logon to MSN

One of my brothers has a home 'puter and when they go online (56k YUCK) they get an MSN screen (all blue) with a logon prompt.
No one in the house knows what it is or where it came from. Their ISP is Mindspring not MSN. Also the IE logo in the upper right corner of IE has been changed to MSN.
Anyone know whats up with this?
Have ya seen this before?

We've tried to change the Homepage back to what it's supposed to be but the connection keeps coming back to MSN.

Did they install the MSN browser by chance?

Don't let them tell you no...beat it out of them. Its the only thing I can think of so it wouldn't matter if you were on cable...you'd get that.
