Need info on RAM settings

I'm trying to find a good explanation of RAM
settings, etc. Does anyone know where I might
find something ?

My motivation: I have an AK31 XP/DDR setup with Crucial CL2.5 memory. I've been unable to get the FSB above 144 MHz using standard settings (with CPU multiplier turned down). I want to alter the memory settings to achieve a higher FSB rate, but I don't understand the meaning of the memory settings.
