I recently bought a visiontech G-force 2 gts 32meg card and used in my computer for about 3 hrs with out any problems, sold the card to one of my friends and it caused his computer to freeze up when he played a game. Sold it to another guy and its causing his computer to freeze at start up. I know its not the card, because the 1st guy I sold it to bought a mx 200 and its doing the same thing as the gts. Any ideals on what is causing this to happen to there computers?
thats mostly about the settings for the AGP: fastwrites, sideband addressing, "multiplier" - agp2x, 4x; also something for the aperture size etc. the startup one, if you mean the bios posting, the video cache mode can be set to USWC and the mobo would fail to work with it.
when a problem like that happens there r not only two or three things as the only possible causes but several ones: for a more objective help try listing all the settings you can.
good luck.

AGP Fast Writes gave me lines all the way down the screen!!!
And it only gives you a 2% performance increase at best!!!

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention I am a newbie on these forums and don't understand fastrights and the other things mentioned. I was hoping maybe it was the drivers getting screwed up. Both of the guys I sold it to have older machines then me. I have a Dell 4100@933, 256 ram and I also got a 32 meg g-force 2 gts in my system. I installed the other card in my system with just installing the new drivers and it worked fine. Could it be, they are not removing the older drivers for there other card and that causing conflicks?

of course it can be that. driver is the software which controls all the equipment functions and let the operating system to know how it will handle the device's features. if any component uses one incompatible driver it will often not to properly work. be sure the old ones were completely removed and just then install the new one. even if you did install the proper one any other old and incompatible driver which wasnt removed can influence when the equipment works.
that settings mentioned above can be found into the BIOS. you enter the BIOS pushing the "delete" button when the computer is posting.

sometimes(like in my case) it's a function key i.e. F1, F2 and so on.
