I have the Voodoo 5 5500 agp... and it fails at the higher fsb settings... lack of a 1/2 agp divider... what can the Gf2 and 3 handle... my voodoo fails at an 82 mhz fsb (cards got problems anyway) Curious before I buy:D

82 fsb????
What speed is the AGP running @ and what is the default?
I am AMD so 82 fsb wouldn't give anyone problems!!!

i believe he is saying that the AGP bus speed is 82...if a Voodoo5 crapped out at 82 fsb, that wouod be sad...

have you tried 2/3 agp bus? because at 54mhz, no video card should crap out....

Well I dont know right know my AGP is running @ 80mhz 4x80=320 according to SiSandra this is @ 159fsb.
I think Doctor was running much higher though I think I remmember reading one of his posts where he posted a screen shot of Sisandra with his fsb @ 168 or something so I would imagine he is stable above 82mhz AGP. Let me see if I can find that pic...

Thanks... I needed to know that before I buy a Gf2 or 3... I don't want the bus speed problems I have with this card :)
Found it!
It was actually 180fsb and the AGP was @ 90mhz!!!

You are talking about the motherboard in your sig, right? Most Nvidia cards that I've seen and heard of run just fine at 89 mhz, which corresponds to a 133 fsb with a BX chipset. Also, I've had my Radeon LE up that high with no problems that were related to video. I have a Geforce 3 Ti 500 on order right now, waiting for it to come in and I plan to find out how it runs at that bus speed as soon as it comes in.
Actually I am using the Epox board 8k7a AMD761 and the numbers I quoted Doctor on (180fsb) were posted on a Shuttle AK31 board with the new K266A chipset.

Yes... i am talking about my Asus... I guess it's a toss up really on new mobo or vid card... just wondered if I kept this mobo and got the vid card if I'd still be able to oc... as it stands my limitations are my V5 and my stick of pc100 mem... but the memory is the easy one to fix with prices these days :) although the mem is stable at 124... the vid card won't let me test it at 133 though :(
