What do i need to overclock a intel 600? its a compaq computer not sure what kind of motherboard is on it please help me

First start with gathering as much info on your mobo as possible :) Then post it so we can help... not trying to be rude... just help :cool:

sorrry man ,but compaqs arent known to oc too well, check if your bios, check for jumpers on your board, and if that doesnt work, try softfsb....

That's 100% true. Unfortunately companies like Dell, Compaq, Gateway, etc locked their bios down to prevent people from voiding their warranty and/or forcing a hardware upgrade... without being able to go into the bios and change voltages, you won't get very far/fast before the CPU needs more juice to run at that higher speed.

well thanks guys but i dont have time for all of this stuff i usally go for amd but my brother wanted me to OC his computer but i will try to find more infor and send it in thank you all and goodbuy till next time :p
