I read about and a few people here and there think the Achievement system in 360 games is stupid me myself I think it's a good idea. Don't get me wrong but the idea of letting people know that you went that far to get it in that certain game. Lets people know that your a dedicated gamer and to me makes me go after something in that certain game more. Then showing my mates that I have done it and I have proof (in your face Paul "Farmboy" Smith) coughs... excuse me anyways.

For example I was playing Burnout Revenge and before I realised I already had a silver membership profile and was using a normal 1 on my mates 360. I was 134 stars away from finishing single player and I started getting achievements unlocked not I have to start all over again cause I wasn't using my silver membership profile just a normal 1. But now I have that urge to do it again and do it better than before and unlock even more achievements.

To me it's a good idea and I bet Sony won't have anything for PS3's online system. Infact I think XBOX live it a cool idea and I can't wait to get my 360 next year (die shrink is-a coming).

I like the achievements, and REALLY like the fact that in a lot of games they get turned off when you use a cheat code, so you know who the players are and who the cheaters are. They add a small extra incentive when playing a game. Also in playing online games I like the player ratings so you can play somebody who may be mediocre but at least you kow they're not going to pull the plug when you're kicking their ass.

I didn't know about the cheating thing and them getting turned off what a great idea but I agree on the online gaming. Great to see people by how good they are and see if they are willing to get beaten. I used to hate that when playing StarCraft online different gaming completely with it been on PC but everytime I win or just about too they D/C.

I think it's a great way to enhance the social aspect of gaming. Little things like that can be a big deal and are pretty simple to include for an online community. There's been a lot of little things like this about the 360 and Live that have really impressed me and exemplify how MS really is being very innovative this console generation even though they are frequently accused of releasing the same old stuff with faster hardware.
