Would an ATX board fit into an EXT ATX/Pentium 4 case? I briefly searched, but didn't quite find what i was looking for.
edit:
so according to this it's safe to assume it's compatible (in terms of rear I/O layout)?
Form Factors (http://www.pcguide.com/ref/case/formATX-c.html)
An ATX board will fit in an EATX case, but an EATX board may not fit in every ATX case.
Normal garden variety ATX boards are usually 9-10 inches wide and a foot tall.
EATX boards are usually around 13" wide by a foot tall.
They both take the same layout on the back of the case, but an EATX board will run into the CD and Hardrive bays of several ATX cases.
EATX is usually a dual processor board, or one with lots of memory and drive slots, thus the need for a larger board.
I use an old case mobo tray in my custom case that supports both, and it has an extra slot hole on the back above the AGP (7 total), but is working just fine with my ATX mobo.
Well put, thank you. With that solved anyone have any thoughts on this particular case?
