ssh sentinel works:
http://ftp.up.ac.za/pub/linux/ssh/pub/sentinel/

look around for more info to set it up... it can get kind of complicated.

Go into the network connections control panel and select Create New Connection, next, then go to connect to workplace, then VPN and put in the IP and connection info. Simple as that.

it isn't going to work quite so easy with a netgear vpn router. if you do client-to-client windows vpn networking, then it would be.
