I was quite disappointed with the e6400 combo I bought from fry's a couple of weeks ago. First, it doesn't oc for crap(300mhz at best:rolleyes:) so now I'm just running it stock until I buy a decent board for it. Well the ppd was so low for the first couple of WU's it was pathetic. However, I just checked it on the 2411 WUs and it's kicking arse!
On this WU I'm getting the following:
My 930@4.2ghz w/2gb ddr2 800 @ ~850mhz - 340ppd/core
My e6400, stock speed, ddr 400 @ stock - 355ppd/core!
And the avg. time/frame is the same as the max. time/frame since all the e6400 does it fold, but the avg. ppd on the 930 is actually closer to 250ppd/core.
So if I can get a steady supply of these 2411 wu, if I can get them on both cores that's like over 700ppd for a 2ghz rig!
*Edit: I just looked at some other wu and it looks like the allendale actually spanks my 930 on a lot of them and only half the speed:eek:
The only thing is both these rigs are folding for someone else right now so watch out console:bday:
