Probably a year since a last upgraded, and my database is way outdated, so pls help:D ? Since Return To Castle Wolfenstein came out i decided to upgrade! My current machine,

celeron 366@550
memory 128mb
hardisk 8gb
video geforcemx(free!)

now i just got an aopen motherboard(free!)its an ax3s pro and thought of celeron 1.2 but this mobo doesnt support the Tualatin (how do you read that?) core.

My budget is only 100 bucks for the cpu.

so what do you guys think? celeron 1.1 or a p3-800mhz?

Or if you have any other idea please feel free to comment.

*ps*will i atleast get 60fps 800x600 if i upgrade my cpu?

i would go with the celly 1.1, as it has great overclocking potential maybe up to 1.3 as others have done....also at 800x600 probably, but it depends on whether you have an MX, MX200, or MX400, if you have an MX200, you can forget getting 60fps in most anything, but the other two should be fine...

I would suggest the 1.2GHz celly since that's the tualatin core and it offers much better oc potential. You might be able to hit 1.7 with good cooling. It's also a great bargain considering if you got to 1.7 you'd have almost as much power as a 2GHz P4 for much less money.

Hi blades, welcome to the Forum,
The Aopen AX3SP/AX3SP Pro is really good Mobo, even if doesn't support the new Cellie 1.2Ghz Tulatin series (maybe only with one of the famous PowerLeap Adapter), but personally I'll go with a Cellie 1.1Ghz or 900Mhz OCed with a Fsb@133Mhz using an HeatSink ThermalRight SK6 or a Millenium Glaciator II and thin layer of thermal paste ;)
